What’s so special about
Desert Woman Cremes & Lotions?
Lavender Light Lotion, like all our cremes
and lotions, is made using fresh herbs grown right here in Gila in our
certified organic gardens. The base is infused herbal oils, made from
freshly harvested medicinal herbs soaked in olive oil for an extended
period of time until the goodness of the herbs is in the oil. The oil
is then strained & used to make the base. Essential oils are added
last to enhance the effect of the infused oil & add an aromatic
experience. Other skin care products depend entirely on essential oils
for effectiveness & they just do not do the job as well.
Desert Woman’s creme & lotion formulas provide the
same strong herbal healing effect as our tried and true salves but with
a new creme base for instant relief & quick absorption into the
skin.

The Truth about herbal skin care
products
made in small batches in small factories...
1) There may be some variation from one batch to the
next in color, texture, smell or consistency. This is due to the
variation in the herbs themselves, or the beeswax, or other ingredients.
2) Natural products are not designed to last forever.
Just like you wouldn’t expect a fresh salad to last indefinitely, these
cremes are best if used while still fresh. If you find you are
not using a cream for an extended period of time, storage in the
refrigerator could extend its shelf life.
3) We avoid the use of chemical preservatives, petroleum
products & synthetic fragrances which many customers find to be
undesirable allergens, skin irritants, or too drying. Instead of
chemicals, we use vitamins, grapefruit seed extract, & benzoin
which are considered natural preservatives without the side
effects. Other ingredients, ie, certain herbs, olive oil,
beeswax, & essential oils have anti-oxidant activity & also
contribute to the natural preservative effects.
